The Trump’s Border Wall, aka Trump’s Folly

Unlike grandma's nightgown, but similar to Donald Trump's own hair, the proposed Trump’s Border Wall doesn't cover everything. It'll never be built high enough, dug deep enough below ground or extended far out beyond our border coastline to be effective. They can always get in by air, sea and underground tunnels. When there is a will, there is a way in. Even grandma’s Victorian-style nightgown will not cover all that, Donald.

It Donald succeeds, it will become a National Monument Of Shame, and unlike the Stalin’s "Iron Curtain", it will be a porous Orange Curtain, like his hairpiece. It will be ugly symbol for America and a rallying cry for people south of our border and our detractors all over the world: “Uncle Sam, Tear down that wall!" It's Déjà Vu, Berlin Wall and Ronald Reagan’s aphorism all over again. Except this time, the ball is in our court, uh . . . turf, it will be a mulligan Donald Trump will never be able to pull off.

Like China’s Great Wall or the Roman Hadrian’s Wall in Britain, it will never be able to fulfill its promised promise, keeping outsiders out, only to keep divisiveness and xenophobia in. Like the Hadrian’s Wall, this wall will have Trump’s name attached to it, the Trump Wall, not in the same proud vein as his Trump Tower in New York. In an ironical twist, Trump demolished some national monuments by executive orders only to build another monument of infamy to himself. It will be etched in our collective memory long after Donald Trump or even the Wall is gone. Sic semper tyrannis!

That $25 billion of' proposed wall money, footed by U. S. taxpayers, not Mexico, as Trump insists, are better served to repair our crumbling infrastructures, which are still salvageable, unlike Trump's hair. If his wall of thwarted dreams . . . uh nightmares, crumbles, it will be known as the Trump’s Folly and relegated to the trash heap of history.
